What is Lambeth LINk?
Lambeth LINk is one of 150 independent networks of local people and organisations created by the Department of Health in England to give everyone the chance to say what they think about their local health and social care service - WHAT'S WORKING WELL AND WHAT'S NOT. Any Lambeth resident or organisation can join and it is independent of statutory authorities such as the NHS Lambeth and Lambeth Council.
Lambeth LINk will:
• Promote and support involvement in the commissioning, providing and monitoring of local health and social care services.
• Monitor and review the commissioning and provision of care services
• Get peoples' views about their needs for and experiences of local health and social care services
• Investigate health and social care issues
• Present people's views
• Recommend improvements
• Use its powers to hold service providers and commissioners to account
Your involvement can be:
• Short or long term
• As an individual or to represent a community, organisation or group
• About one health or social care issue that matters to you or a range of issues that interest you
• About something that involves your particular community
• Just answering a few questions or taking part in a survey or opinion poll
• Being part of a group reviewing a service
• Helping to plan and prioritise the work of LINk
• Visiting services such as hospitals or day centres
• Practical help such as helping to publicise and promote the role of LINK
